Bay Youth Concert Band

The Bay Youth Concert Band is an unaffiliated advanced ensemble made up of talented student musicians from across the region who are selected through a competitive audition process. This ensemble provides students with the opportunity to perform a wide range of challenging and rewarding wind band literature while developing their musical skills at a high level. The Concert Band rehearses at Hickory Middle School under the direction of Mr. Oare, who leads the group with a focus on musical excellence, teamwork, and artistic growth. The ensemble performs several concerts each season, giving students the chance to showcase their talents in professional-level performances and share their passion for music with the community. Participation in the Bay Youth Concert Band offers young musicians an inspiring environment to refine their craft, connect with peers who share their dedication, and experience the excitement of making music together.
